CANADA
My interest in photography developed, in large part, as an effort to document my life in suburban Canada. I took thousands of photos in my teens and early twenties and eventually developed a distinct artistic approach. Unlike my paintings which are oversaturated and abstract, my photography is realistic. It relies on sharp focus, tonal balance and good exposure. For this collection I've chosen seven pictures that both embody this stylistic realism and characterize my own personal experiences growing up.
