Abstract Paintings (2014 - 2016)

This collection of paintaings contains my first abstract work in Los Angeles. The most distinguishing feature of the set is the use of screen printing ink for the white base layer.  The white ink, which is sold commercially as Plastisol, is a heavy bodied substance that requires a furnace to dry. It's a tough medium to work with but it gives the paintings a level of texture and depth far beyond the limits of acrylic paint.
