Simpsons Abstracts

This collection of abstract digital illustrations, started in mid-2016, are some of my earliest vector-based digital art. Inspired by the popularity of Simpsons street art and my own long-time interest in the television series, these works represent an notable milestone in my artistic process and the beginning of a new pop-centric creative phase.

These drawings were created through a combination of vector-based line illustrations and photoshop coloring. They are all relatively simple, minimalist compositions, borrowing both the vibrant color palette, and the characteristic shapes of the original television cartoon.

Serving as an logical evolution of the silkscreen process, digital software has allowed for the de-humanization of the painting process and the complete removal of any personal touch or brush mark.
